About the Author
Jim van der Keyl has been an animator for over 20 years and has wored for studios such as Dreamworks, Disney, Warner Bros and Blue Sky. He has also been a professional caricature artist for over 20 years working at theme parks such as Universal Studios, Hollywood, Six Flags Magic Mountain and at conventions and colleges throughout the US. He is a member of the International Society of Caricature Artists ( ISCA) Jim discovered caricatures in high school when he experimented drawing his teachers.. He was hooked on caricatures when his drawings received bouts of laughter and has been drawing them ever since.

One of the best books I've read on the subject

Jim's book is very professional and easy to follow, it teaches you different techniques to achieve the likeness and improve your caricature drawing skills. The book doesn't focus on one single method, but several ones, so that way you may choose which you like most and combine them to create amazing caricatures. I've been drawing caricatures for about 16 yrs. professionally and have drawn more than 10,000 faces by now, so I can tell you, this book is a must for your collection if you are serious in mastering the art of caricature.

Caricatures

This book is one of the best on caricatures. I have been buying books about caricatures for over 30 years. Most of them have the common ideas on drawing caricatures. I think Jim Vander key, has more ideas on doing caricatures. I think this would be a great purchase if you are interested in learning how to draw caricatures, or want to improve on drawing caricatures.

was well worth it, My caricatures have unbelieveably improved,For anyone wanting to be a
Caricaturist or just doodle around with a pencil or pen,please try Jim van der Keyl. Jim presents the
information in his books and CD's in such a manner that even I sometimes, somewhat, a dummy

this is the original exegesis of how the pious Jews connected with the universal divine order and I found it quite interesting, it probably helps if you are already advanced in your study of this subject, but you do not have to necessarily be Jewish.

It also provides a window on contemporary Burmese society. To contemplate both, the author adopts an unconventional approach, which itself reflects representation in anthropology, or, more precisely, how anthropology uses description and the interpretations description occasions to make sense of what it studies. About the Author
Sister M. Andrine Welters, O.S.B., was a nun and author of the twentieth century. In My Confession Book: A Child\'s Preparation for the Sacrament of Penance, she provides a wonderful First Reconciliation guide for children, with instructions for true sorrow, purpose of amendment, and more. Sister Welters\' work was first published in 1958 by The Bruce Publishing Company, Milwaukee, with the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur. Formerly known as PAX: A Preparation for the Sacrament of Penance for Children, it was also printed by TAN in 2010.

Good preparation for a lifetime habit

I like this booklet for preparing my students, (and my own children) for a lifetime habit of receiving the sacrament of reconciliation. Confession is good for the soul, someone once wrote, and I can say it sure is! This booklet gives children a clearer understand of their own faults and addresses a method for correcting those faults. Of course most seven year olds don't understand serious sin but they do know when they have mistreated a friend or parent and also know when they have been mistreated! Children need a script to follow to give them confidence and this little book does just that. It also includes a prayer section for the children to learn by heart. I have been teaching young children religious education for more than twenty years and I find this an excellent resource and addition to other textbooks.

Great little book for examination of conscious for children. Bought this for my grandchildren to prepare for confession. I think it is a great tool to prepare them for such an important sacrament as penance.

It's the Summer of Love!

The transcriptions in the 'Highlights From the BBC Sessions' songbook are accurate, and provide an interesting array of Jimi's better known songs, covers, and blues.

Although a glaring ommission is 'Driving South' which is performed thrice on the album. However, the particularly scintillating version (Disc 1/Track 17) is transcribed in Hal Leonard's 'Radio One' guitar songbook. Other cuts in the 'Radio One' songbook omitted in the 'BBC Sessions' songbook are: 'Love or Confusion', 'Purple Haze', 'Fire', 'Foxey Lady', and 'Stone Free'.

However, the 'BBC Sessions' songbook contains many songs not in the 'Radio One' songbook: 'I Was Made to Love Her', 'Sunshine of Your Love', 'A Brand New Sound', 'Can I Please Crawl Out Your Window', and 'Jammin'. The album 'Radio One' was an earlier release of Jimi's BBC session, but not even half as extensive as the 'BBC Sessions" album.

Overall, this songbook is quite good, appealing particularly to those wanting to discover Jimi's live 'bare bones' approach, over learning about his multi-tracked and studio manipulated performances.

I highly recommend the 'Radio One' songbook, too.
